Internal Application Information

Posting Duration:

Jobs will be posted for a specified amount of time. Exceptions to postings may be necessary for business reasons. Applications must be submitted to Human Resources via an electronic application through the internal careers portal.

Application Procedure:

Qualified and eligible employees who wish to apply for a posted position should:

  • Submit an internal application for the posted position with an updated resume (with your current PFS position) prior to the posting close date.
  • Internal application must be approved by the current Manager and HR prior to being submitted to the current hiring manager.

Screening and Interviewing:

  • Human Resources will review each applicant's qualifications. This may include a discussion with the employee's supervisor.
  • Human Resources will, if appropriate, interview candidates and discuss their qualifications and interest in the job. Any employee lacking the qualifications for the job in question will be so notified.
  • The receiving department will interview all qualified candidates. Receiving managers may request to review the original employment application, resume, and two most recent performance appraisals for each candidate.

Notification of Job Award:

All candidates interviewed by the receiving department will be notified of the disposition of the job.
